Shabby Chic Local Inspiration

I am so proud to share this amazing Shabby Chic wedding with my party readers.

A few summers ago I had the privilege of tagging along on some wedding set ups with the amazingly talented mother/daughter team that makes up Stage Right, Etc.  Dani and Ria blew me away weekly with their creativity.  This Kelowna based wedding planning duo is at the cutting edge of all things pretty, all things floral, all things decor, and all things wedding.

I personally take a lot of inspiration for my parties and cakes from wedding magazines and blogs.  I thought sharing their amazing work is sure to inspire the creativity in all of you.  Not to mention, the photographs taken by Jessics Zais are so incredible, it is definitely worth a few minutes of your time!

Check out this adorable location.  What a gorgeous barn.  SO much character!

Cute frames and sweet plaques with the bride and groom/s initials.  These would be adorable touches to any shabby chic party.

Look closely, they used an antique door for the table top.  Cute, right?  I say genius!

This table is so pretty.  Every detail is looked after.  I think this would be a great theme for a bridal tea as well.

Can you feel the warmth?  If you are enjoying drooling over the amazing photos and your wheels are spinning with all the fun details, you've got to go on over and check out the rest of the Shabby Chic Wedding Mock Up over at Stage Right's BLOG.  Once you are there, look around.  This is one of MANY awesome concepts.  These ladies are a notch above the rest and surely the pride of Kelowna's party planning community.

Black, White and Lime Wedding Details

This past weekend was a wonderfully intimate Black, White and Lime green wedding. As promised, we can now unveil the invitations and many of the other details that Fig & Ruby contributed!

I'd like to say this photo is blurry to protect the details of the people involved...but it is actually just blurry due to my lack of photography skills and my mediocre camera!

The ring bearer and flower girl held these stylish items.

Little details make a big difference at a wedding. The details bring it all together and create the completed look. Wedding photographers love to take pictures of the small things.

Kids Count, Too!!

Kid buckets are such a great way to acknowledge the little people at your event while also keeping them occupied at the reception!

This weekend we created 22 age appropriate, personalized buckets for kids from 1 to 14.

Wedding themed coloring sheets printed on stiff cardstock.

For boys between the ages of 7 and 14, we included a generous collection of Magnetix.

For babies we included a personalized washable bib and sippy cup.

Each kid also received a cardstock page with their name on it to color.

Buckets of Fun

I am updating the blog with a few of our recent projects. We loved doing these kid buckets for a recent bride. What a great way to keep the littlest guests at a wedding happy!

Each bucket had age and gender appropriate items inside. They also included a visor with the child's name. The bucket was personalized as well.

Wrapped in cello and ready to go! Handmade pinwheels finished the look nicely.

Each bucket donned a nametag clipped to the pinwheel...all in coordinating colors of course!!
