Baby Sleeping Sign

Catching up on recently finished projects...

This is a little plaque for my best friend's front door to keep that UPS guy from ringing the doorbell at nap time!

This was so easy to make and I just love how it turned out.

Ingredients:
-wooden plaque from Michael's
-paint
-1 1/2 yards ribbon
-rhinestones
-hot glue
-scrapbook paper, tissue paper, wrapping paper..
-school glue
-spray coating
-Sharpie

I painted the plaque, used my finger to spread school glue down where I wanted the paper flowers, then spread the glue over the flowers as well.  This is my cheap and easy version of Mod Podge. (That's how my Mom did it back when there was no such thing as Mod Podge:)  You can use the "real stuff" if you feel better about that and have lots of cash to blow.

I hot glued the rhinestones, wrote the message with a Sharpie, and sprayed the whole thing with a matte spray coating.  Then I attached the ribbon to the back with hot glue and the cute little bows went on last as an afterthought that I think just put it over the top in the cute department!

You can make this!  it does not have to be for a sleeping baby, it can be for a big kid's room with their name on it or perhaps a "please knock".  If you make one, please share, I'd love to see your version!!
