stella & dot party and one final plea...

Last night I hosted a Stella & Dot party.  Lots of my favourite people came and the treats were delish.  Those two things alone make for a great night as far as I am concerned but then you add the gorgeous jewellery to the equation and oh my!

Look at this stuff!  It is so beautiful, so classy and really timeless.  I pretty much want everything but I am a realistic kind of girl so I just set my sights on a goal for some "free stuff" and did my best to invite everyone I knew.

Alas, I did not reach the goal.  Here comes the shameless plea...

Can you help?
Do you need some new bling
Do you WANT some new bling??
I have until tomorrow (Thursday) to get another $190 in sales in order to earn my goal and make all my dreams come true! {well at least satisfy my latest obsession anyways..}

If you want to shop, it's really easy.  Just go to the site HERE...follow the instructions from there and it should be easy peasy.  If it is not, call me, I can walk you through it.  250-864-4194.  Thanks so much friends!

Okay, back to the party...

I was super excited to have the last minute idea to put caprese salad in cupcake papers.  I love garden fresh heirloom tomatoes, basil, bocconcini cheese drizzled with olive oil and vinegar.  My favorite summer time appetizer.  I was going "plate free" for this party so the cupcake papers worked perfectly!

Bakerella inspired these treats.  I wasn't sure  if they would taste as good as she made them look {once you see the ingredients you will understand why} but they were a huge hit.  So delicious and I will be making them again very soon!

Speaking of Bakerella, this is my go-to adaptation on her amazing cake balls.  Aren't they cute?  They look like little bon bons!

French Garden Party

I am excited to share this cute party with you.  I am also proud because the creator of this party is my cute and talented second cousin Meadow! She is one cultured young lady and has a love of all things french.  She's even a high school french teacher.  Enjoy these lovely photos and great ideas...

Check out that seriously cute party hat!  She made all sorts of them, all a bit different.

I love the simple balloons and the inside chairs outside!

Mirrors on the fence.  Love it!

The birthday girl making sure everything is just so:)

Rose flavored homemade macarons.  I'm telling you, this girl is GOOD!

A very pretty birthday cake.  Love the white chocolate pieces!

Pretty cookie favors.  I love the newspaper look for the paper tag!

And all these cute labels...so fitting for this theme!  Meadow describes how she made these on her blog HERE.

MMMMM!

Look closely, there are not all real flowers!

A gorgeous french themed garden party Meadow!  I am so impressed with your talent!!

Blankies for Isabel

My best friend in the whole world is having her second baby girl.  When I was pregnant with Cait, she was pregnant with Sophia.  I made the girls matching blankies and taggies.  Cait likes her blankets but is not in love with them {much to my dismay).  Sophia on the other hand loves her blankies!!  When I visited Gretch in the spring, we picked out fabric for her newest addition's special lovies.

I mailed the finished products last week and they are washed and tucked away in Isabel's room so now I can share!!

I love the way the lower case "i" looks int he circle!

Love the color combo Gretch picked!

It was so fun digging though my large ribbon collection to find the perfect "tags".

The zebra fabric is silky.  So pretty!

The little embroidered tag says "you are loved Isabel".

Cait got a hold of the blankies and loved them up a bit.

"Can I keep them Mommy?"

"No Cait, let's wrap them up and send them to Sophie's new sister Isabel"

She is getting so fast I can't even capture her in focus!

I have another taggie to finish for one of my closest friends.  I will share it once it has made it to it's new owner:)
